Tent Training Information
Each of these in-person training events is a two-day event covering tent anchoring, frame tent installation, and pole tent installation. Upon registration for an event, you will receive more information and instructions for both the hands-on training and the required accompanying online training.
Each 2-day training is available
for $597, and includes:
- Foundations of Safe Tenting (online course – included at no cost)
- Essentials of Tent Anchoring (ETA)
- Essentials of Frame Tent Installation (EFT)
- Essentials of Pole Tent Installation (EPT)
Foundations of Safe Tenting
Free
The Foundations of Safe Tenting course introduces the essential terminology, practices, and procedures needed for safe tent installation and dismantling. Completion of this course is required before attending the Essentials-level training courses. This free online RentalU course, must be completed prior to attending the in-person trainings.
Essentials of Tent Anchoring (ETA)
Provides comprehensive instruction on the principles, methods, and data‑driven science behind proper tent anchoring, equipping participants with the foundational knowledge needed to safely anchor a variety of tent styles and applications while improving overall jobsite safety and operational efficiency.
Essentials of Frame Tent Installation (EFT)
Builds on foundational safe tenting and anchoring knowledge to deliver standardized, expert‑led training on the tools, materials, techniques, and safety protocols required for the proper installation of frame tents, supporting consistent and professional installation practices across the industry.
Essentials of Pole Tent Installation (EPT)
The Essentials of Pole Tent Installation course provides in-person training on safely installing and removing pole-supported tents. Participants learn pole tent types, proper tensioning and anchoring techniques, installation sequences, and best practices for safe lifting, crew coordination, and inspection through classroom learning and hands-on field activities.
